Robert James Jones was born on December 4, 1944, in Kimbrough (Grady), Arkansas to the late Andrew Tollie Jones and Lillie Green.

He transitioned from this life to the next on March 16, 2023, peacefully at his home. Two months prior to his transition, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

He graduated from Grady High School. As a young man, he worked on a farm, and as an older man, he worked for a trucking company.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Ria Lee Wilbert, Bessie Wilbert, Ella Armstrong, and Elizabeth, and his brothers: LC Chaney and Larry Smith

He leaves to cherish his memories a daughter, Tynicka Johnson; sister, Edna Hunter; brothers: Lemon Gulley, John Wilbert, and David Wilbert; 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023, 11:00am in the Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 5300 West 12th Street. The family will receive friends Friday, March 31, 2023 from 6-7pm at Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 5300 West 12th Street.
