Harold T. Watts, Sr.
Mr. Harold T. Watts Sr, 67 of Little Rock, AR, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning December 18, 2021 in his own home. Harold T. was a long-time resident of Chicago, Illinois, Little Rock, Arkansas and an Ashley County native. Harold T. was a licensed CDL driver and worked for Lawrence Foods in Elk Grove Village, Illinois for 25 years. Harold T. also Co-owned and operated Watts Transportation services in Little Rock, AR with his son Harold T. Jr. until he was called to care for his wife’s (Alice) physical health. Harold T. cared for his wife (Alice) for seven years prior to her passing November 8, 2020.
Harold T. was born to the late Leonard Watts Sr and Hazel Jacobs-Bell March 07, 1954. Harold T. was a proud member of the Portland High School class of 1972. Upon graduation Harold T. left Portland, Arkansas with his childhood love (Alice) and started a life in Chicago, Illinois. Harold T. would go on to obtain technical education in mechanics/truck driving and sustained employment within the production and transportation industry for over 30 years. Harold T. and Alice raised three children and enjoyed a lifetime of love that spanned more than 50 years. Harold T. accepted Christ at an early age a remained steady in his faith until he was called home to be with the Lord. Harold T. will be forever remembered for his kind heart, giving spirit, witty jokes, superior fashion sense and masterful culinary and baking skills. Harold T. was unique and one of kind and will be greatly missed.
Harold T. is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Watts Sr. and Hazel Jacobs-Bell., one son Nicholas Caldwell-Watts, two sisters Elizabeth Leaks., Rita Bowden., one brother Marvin Watts., his maternal Grandparents, Dennis Jacobs and Johnnie Wooley-Jacobs., paternal Grandparents., Lent Watts and Mabel Simpson.
He is survived by his two sons Marcus Watts (Michelle) of Dallas GA, Harold T. Watts Jr (DeMesia) of Alexander, AR, seven grandchildren: Raven, Kaylin, Stephen, Sydney, Taylor, Evan and Roman Watts, five brothers: Leotis Bell (Carolyn) and Johnny Lee Bell of Portland, AR., Leonard Watts Jr. (Renee) and Billy Watts of Youngstown, OH., Fotra Bowden (Pearline) of Little Rock, AR., six sisters: Bernadette Bell-Montgomery of Little Rock, AR., Johnnie Mae Bell-Montgomery of Wilmot, AR., Linda Watts-Thompkins of McDonough, GA (Bobby)., Mary Bowden, Rose Watts-Morgan (Don), and Betty Watts of Youngstown, OH. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews and three life long friends/Brothers Jessie Lee Mitchell, Lynward Lee and Roosevelt Lewis.
Graveside services will be held Friday, December 24, 2021, 11:30am, Montrose Cemetery, US-82 Bus, Montrose, Arkansas. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 23, 2021, 3-5pm, Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 5300 West 12th Street. Due to COVID-19 a facial mask is required.
