Diane Marie Shelton Combs

Diane Marie Shelton Combs, 65, was born to the late Henry Jackson and Dorothy Lawrence on December 1, 1956. Diane graduated from Central High School in 1976 and attended Shorter College. She worked at Phillips Lighting and retired from Kindred Home Health as a care giver.

On June 24,1989 she married Stephen Combs Sr. and they were blessed with three wonderful children. Diane confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with New Light Missionary Baptist Church in 1983 under the leadership of Reverend George Tucker. During these past 39 years and under the leadership of Pastor Harold Betton, Diane worked diligently in the church serving in many ministries: The Adult Choir, Sunday School Teacher, Mission, Culinary and wherever she was needed.

On Sunday, July 3, 2022 at 10:53a.m. Diane transitioned to her eternal home surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry Jackson and Dorothy Lawrence, grandmother, Artelia Shelton and her sister, Carolyn Mitchell.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children; Stephen LaRon Combs Jr. of Houston Texas, Tamara Renee Shelton and Tamieka Eva Marie Combs, both of Little Rock, Arkansas. Brother: Lewis Lawrence of Little Rock, Arkansas, Sisters: Donna Lawrence of Sherwood, North Little Rock, Arkansas, Debbie Shelton of Maumelle, Arkansas, Brenda Lawrence and Ella Shack of Little Rock, Arkansas. Grand Children: Makayla Bealer and Jasmine Bealer of Little Rock, Arkansas, ZaQuinten Hicks, Aubrie Orsborn and Kingston Combs of Fort Worth, Texas, Cedric Carpenter Jr, Zaier Combs and Denise Combs all of Little Rock Arkansas. Loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.  

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 11, 2022, 11:00am in the Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 5300 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas.  The family will receive friends Sunday, July 10, 2022, 3-5pm in the Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 5300 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas.
