Funeral services in his honor will be Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 11 a.m., First Baptist Church Main Street, 2015 Main Street, in North Little Rock. A visitation will be held Friday, May 13, 2022, from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.Bobby Joe Knight was born February 12, 1952 to the late James and Mary McKinney Knight. Bob was born at University Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He graduated from Jacksonville High, class of 1970. Before attending Jacksonville High, Bob attended Harris High where he played the drums in the band. After High School Bobby began working at May’s Realty Company for 20+ years, he also worked for Oxford Janitorial Service, Convie Garden & Service Master. He was the co-owner of GH Janitorial service from 2002-2006 with his business partner the late Charles Sanders. He was the owner of Day & Night Janitorial Services from 2006 until his health failed in 2010.
Bob devoted his life to Christ in 1990 at the Morning Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert Jenkins, where he served as a Trustee and Custodian for decades.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary McKinney Knight, uncle and aunt Garland and Luvenia Thomas, brother James Garland Knight, sisters Brenda Jones and Lizz Knight. Granddaughters, Baby Knight and Baby “K”.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 39 years, Patricia, children, Sharita (Shawn) Davis, Kaneisha Knight, Bobby, Jr. (Melaney) Knight, Garland Knight, all of North Little rock, AR. Siblings, brother, Lawrence (Carla) Knight, twin sister, Linda Joyce Williams, both of North Little Rock, sisters, Olibra (Michael) Bailey, Rena (Greg) Black, both of Los Angeles, CA. God son’s, Travis Jefferson, Chris Franklin and Jacobi Carter, all of North Little Rock, God daughter’s Ramonda Johnson and Alicia Smith both of North Little Rock. 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
